Re-sawn timber is a reclaimed wood that’s been cut or milled again to reveal fresh surfaces beneath its aged exterior. Old beams, posts, and boards are carefully sawn into new dimensions based on your brief, removing weathered edges while preserving the timber’s natural character and history.
Re-sawn timber creates a clean, versatile material perfect for structural timbers, beams, architectural features or any bespoke requirements. It provides a more refined appearance than rustic beams. When freshly sawn the natural colour of the timber is exposed, and the surface can be maintained with oil, further polished or left to weather and grey-off.
The re-sawn posts are supplied in Class 1 durability species suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Often from old power poles and wharf piles of mixed species such as Ironbark, Spotted Gum, Tallowood or Turpentine.
